Abilities

N.A.T.A.S.H.A.The Tank can deploy into the N.A.T.A.S.H.A. multiple-launch rocket system. It deals area damage but has a blind spot at close range.

Who is the Tank?

The Tank is a heavy combat vehicle used to assault the enemy base and support the main army. In normal mode, it advances slowly with the troops, deals high burst damage to ground targets, and destroys buildings especially quickly.

When needed, the Tank can deploy into N.A.T.A.S.H.A., a stationary multiple-launch rocket system with increased range and area damage. In this mode, keep it behind other units so the enemy cannot get too close.

The Tank cannot attack air targets, so it must be protected from Thunders. Devastators deal triple damage to the Tank and six times as much damage to a Tank deployed in N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode.

A damaged Tank can be withdrawn to a Worker for repairs. In normal mode, it deals bonus damage to Titans, while the Cooling research lets it fire more often.

Tank strengths

  • High burst damage lets it destroy priority ground targets quickly.
  • It deals double damage to buildings and is especially useful when assaulting Gates, the Center, and Reactors.
  • In normal mode, it deals 75% bonus damage to Titans.
  • N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode provides long range and area damage, making it effective against tightly packed infantry.
  • A damaged vehicle can be withdrawn to a Worker, repaired, and returned to battle.

Tank weaknesses

  • It moves slowly and has a long reload, so it is poor at chasing fast targets.
  • It cannot attack air targets and is especially vulnerable to Thunders without allied support.
  • Devastators deal triple damage to the Tank and six times as much damage to a Tank deployed in N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode.
  • Deploying into N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode and returning to normal takes time, during which the Tank cannot move or attack.
  • In N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode, it takes double damage and cannot fire at targets within five tiles.

Base assaults and Tank transport

Bonus damage to buildings makes the Tank useful in base assaults, especially against Gates, the Center, and Reactors. If scouting reveals the enemy army’s position, a Balloon can deploy Tanks in an unprotected part of the base.

Tank chevrons: what they are and how they work

Chevrons are curved stripes shown above the unit. They have three levels:

  1. +10% health and damage
  2. +20% health and damage
  3. +30% health and damage + regeneration

To earn one chevron, the Tank must deal a certain amount of damage to enemy units.

Upgrades in the Factory

Each upgrade adds 10% of base damage or health to Factory units. The cost rises in sequence: 10, 20, and 30 ore.

The Cooling research

CoolingReduces the Tank's firing interval from 2 to 1.5 seconds.

Cooling is researched in the Laboratory for 15 ore and takes 50 seconds.

The research changes the Tank’s appearance.

The N.A.T.A.S.H.A. ability

The Tank takes 3 seconds to deploy into a stationary multiple-launch rocket system. Its attack range is 14 tiles, minimum range is 5 tiles, and the interval between volleys is 1 second. Base area damage per volley is 9, while total damage across all targets is capped at 45.

Chevrons and upgrades increase this damage proportionally. If too many targets are hit, the available damage is divided among them. In N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode, the Tank takes double damage from every attack.

The bonus damage against Titans does not apply in this mode. Instead, Titans counter the deployed Tank.

In this mode, the Tank is a positional support unit suited to long-range attacks on enemy positions and groups of low-health units, especially Peacemakers.

In N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode, the Tank gains half as much experience from damage dealt to units, so it earns chevrons faster in normal mode.

Tank in N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode

Tank + Peacemakers

Peacemakers cover the area immediately around a deployed Tank, intercept Devastators, and can respond to air attacks. Meanwhile, the Tank destroys buildings or bombards a dense ground army from long range.

Before deploying, position the Peacemakers so the enemy cannot immediately break into the blind zone of N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode.

Tank + Lynx

The Lynx scouts the map quickly, reveals the enemy army, and attacks Workers while the Tanks prepare their slow advance. If the opponent sends troops to defend the economy, the Tanks gain an opening to assault the base.

In a direct fight, keep Lynxes forward to intercept light ground targets and withdraw damaged vehicles to Workers for repairs.

What does the Tank say?

Frequently asked questions about the Tank

What is the Tank effective against?

The Tank quickly destroys buildings and is effective against Titans, especially after the Cooling research. It is ineffective against Devastators and Thunders, and it can only attack ground targets.

What does the Cooling research do?

It reduces the Tank's reload time by 25%, costs 15 ore, and takes 50 seconds to research in the Laboratory. With Cooling, the Tank becomes the most effective unit against Titans, and its appearance changes.

What is the N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode?

In a few seconds, the Tank deploys into a stationary multiple-launch rocket system with a range of 14 tiles and area damage. In this state, it takes double damage and cannot attack targets within 5 tiles, so it works best in sieges and against groups of Peacemakers.

Can the Tank attack air targets?

No, the Tank attacks ground targets only, both in normal mode and in N.A.T.A.S.H.A. mode.
